1 개요
이집트 출신의 트랜스 DJ 듀오.
둘 다 1981년생으로 초등학생때부터 서로 친구로 지내는 사이라고 한다. 1999년에 폴 반 다이크 등의 트랜스 음악에 빠져 조그마한 스튜디오를 차려 음악과 디제잉 커리어를 시작했고, 2002년에 독일의 레이블 Euphonic Records과 계약, 2003년에 첫 데뷔 싱글 'Eye Of Horus'를 발매했다. 이 곡이 아민 반 뷰렌, 티에스토, 폴 반 다이크 등 거물급 트랜스 DJ들에 의해 서포트되면서 본격적으로 인지도를 쌓기 시작했다.
이후에도 내는 곡들이 연속해서 히트했고 2009년에는 본인들이 진행하는 방송의 이름을 딴 Future Sound Of Egypt 서브레이블을 세웠다. 2010년엔 첫 스튜디오 앨범인 Rising Sun을 발매했다. 이후로도 2011년에 발매한 'We Control The Sunlight'이 아민 반 뷰렌이 진행하는 라디오 방송 A State Of Trance의 Tune Of The Year에 선정되고, 2008년 DJ MAG TOP 100에 31위로 첫 TOP 100 진입, 이후로도 계속 10위 ~ 20위권 성적을 기록하는 등 활발한 활동을 펼치고 있다. 최근 트랜스씬의 하향세에도 불구하고 20위대 순위를 유지하는 중이다. 2013년에는 그들의 두번째 스튜디오 앨범 Quiet Storm을 발매했으며, 2014년 10월에 세번째 스튜디오 앨범인 The Other Shore가 발매되었다.
아민이나 티에스토같은 거물급 트랜스 DJ들이 프로그레시브 트랜스나 (아민) 하우스로 전향 (티에스토)하는 와중에도 여전히 업리프팅 스타일을 고수하고 있으며, 그래서 해외의 트랜스 커뮤니티 등에서는 아민보다 선호도가 더 높게 나타나기도 한다.
다만 디제잉이나 투어를 할 때는 거의 Fila(Fadi) 혼자서 디제잉을 하는데, 그 이유는 Aly의 청력손상으로 인해 계속해서 큰 소리의 음악을 들으면 청력을 영영 잃게 될 수 있기 때문이라고 한다.
한편, 한국에는 총 4번 내한공연을 하였는데, 클럽에 두 번 (2007년 볼륨, 2014년 디에이), 페스티벌에도 두 번 (2012년 월드 디제이 페스티벌, 2016년 아카디아 코리아) 내한하였다.

3 Future Sound Of Egypt
Aly & Fila를 거론할 때 항상 빠지지 않고 나오는 것이 바로 그들이 진행하는 방송 Future Sound Of Egypt다. 2006년 2월부터 첫 방송을 시작하여 2015년 현재 400회가 넘어가는 장수방송이다. 유럽 중앙 표준시로 매주 월요일 밤 10시부터 1시간 동안 진행하며, 대체적으로 BPM 134~135, 그 이상의 업리프팅/테크 트랜스 위주로 선곡하여 틀어준다. A State Of Trance와 마찬가지로 진행자인 Aly & Fila가 선정한 최고의 트랙 Wonder Of The Week, 청취자의 투표로 선택된 트랙 Future Sound가 있다.
200회를 기점으로 50회씩 끊어 순회 공연의 주제가 되는 Anthem곡이 발매되었다. 또, ASOT와 마찬가지로 50회마다 세계를 돌며 투어 역시 진행한다. 최근 FSOE 350, 400은 인터넷을 통해 전세계로 생중계되었다.

3.1 FSOE Label
선술했듯이 Aly & Fila가 본인들이 진행하는 방송의 이름을 딴 레이블이다. 원래는 Offshore Music의 서브레이블로 세워졌으나 이후 Armada Music으로 레이블을 통째로 이적했다. 라디오 방송에서 선곡되는 곡들의 스타일에 걸맞게 BPM 138~140정도의 업리프팅/테크 트랜스 위주로 곡을 발매한다. 그러나 최근 들어서는 이런 스타일의 프로그레시브 트랜스/하우스도 발매해 FSOE만의 색채가 옅어졌다는 아쉬움을 사고 있으나, 아직까지는 Armada Music 내에 몇 안되는 업리프팅/테크 트랜스 전문 레이블로 활약하고 있다.
2014년 8월 말 서브레이블 FSOE Excelsior를 세웠다. 이 레이블은 주로 프로그레시브 트랜스, 프로그레시브 하우스, 딥 하우스를 주로 다루는 것이 특징.
