1980년 발표된 핑크 플로이드의 싱글. The Wall 앨범에 수록되었다. 본 앨범에서 "Mother", "Nobody Home"등과 함께 가장 극적인 연출으로 손꼽히는"Comfortably Numb"는 제정신이 아닌 핑크를 깨우기 위해 들어온 매니저와 의사들의 목소리로 시작된다. 외부에서 들려오는 이 목소리는 물론 핑크의 의식세계에서 인식하는 목소리로, 로저는 약간 괴기스러운 분위기를 연출하며 이를 아주 훌륭하게 처리하고 있다.
완전히 의식이 마비되어 버린 핑크를 공연에 데리고 가기위해 각성제를 주사하며 필사적으로 움직이는 그들에게 데이빗의 목소리로 처리되어진 핑크의 대사부분이 감동적으로 흐른다. 데이빗과 로저의 조화가 더욱 감동을 배가시키는 듯 하며 후반부의 데이빗의 가슴을 후벼 파는 듯한 기타솔로 역시 압권이다. 롤링 스톤 선정 500대 명곡에서 321위에 랭크되었다.
