Yola language 또는 Forth and Bargy dialect

== 개요 ==
[[아일랜드]] 카운티 웩스퍼드(County Wexford)의 Forth와 Bargy 지방에서 쓰였던 [[영어]]의 방언, 또는 영어에서 파생된 개별 언어. 현재는 소멸되었다. 가장 비슷한 언어/방언으로는 아일랜드의 더블린 지방의 Fingal에서 쓰였던 [[핑갈어]](Fingallian)가 있었다.

1169세기 경 [[잉글랜드]]를 지배하던 [[노르만]]족이 아일랜드를 침공하면서 중세 영어가 아일랜드 일부 지역에 퍼지기 시작한다. 이후 잉글랜드의 영어는 [[대모음추이]] 등으로 크게 변화하게 되는데, 아일랜드에 퍼진 영어들은 별로 변하지 않는 상황이 벌어진다. 이런 영어 방언(또는 언어)들이 비교적 늦게까지 살아남았던 케이스가 욜라어와 핑갈어이다. 둘 다 19세기 중반에 소멸되었다.

Yola는 영어 old를 뜻하는 욜라어 단어이다.

== 특징 ==
대모음 추이가 나타나지 않고, 독일어처럼 [[마찰음]] 상당수가 [[유성음]]으로 바뀐다. 이것들은 전부 중세 영어의 특징을 반영하고 있다.
