1990년 8월에 발표된 [[앨리스 인 체인스]]의 데뷔 스튜디오 앨범.
[[RIAA]]로부터 2x Platinum을 인증받은 상태.
다음 싱글들을 낳았다.
"We Die Young" (1990년), "Man in the Box", "Bleed the Freak", "Sea of Sorrow" (1991년).
"Bleed the Freak"을 제외한 나머지는 뮤직비디오로도 방송되었다. ("Bleed the Freak"의 경우, 2000년에 [[Live(앨리스 인 체인스의 앨범)]]가 발매되면서 1991년에 발매되었던 [[Live Facelift]]에서 발췌된 영상이 뮤직비디오로 방송된다.)
"Man in the Box" 뮤직비디오는 1991년 [[MTV]] Video Music Award for Best Heavy Metal/Hard Rock Video에 노미네이트되었고, "Man in the Box"는 1992년 [[Grammy]] Award for Best Hard Rock Performance에 노미네이트되었다.
