== 구성 ==
F로 구성되어 수려한 선율로 진행하는 웨스턴 풍의 발라드이다. 3/4 왈츠 리듬으로 진행하고, 특유의 향토적인 분위기와 조화롭게 구성된 엘튼 존의 하모니 보컬과 현악으로 인해서 타이틀 트랙 [[Goodbye Yellow Brick Road(음악)|Goodbye Yellow Brick Road]]와 유사한 구성을 가졌다고 볼 수 있다. 데이비 존스턴은 전원스러운 사운드를 내기 위해 곡에서 스틸 기타를 연주했다. F로 막을 내리면서 말굽 소리와 같이 약간의 여운으로 이어지다가 다음 트랙 [[Social Disease]]로 메들리 형식으로 이어진다.

[[Your Sister Can't Twist]]/[[Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting]]과 유사한 형식에다가 메들리로 이어지는 수록곡이 무려 3곡이나 되는 셈.
=== 가사 의미 ===
1950년대 서부시대를 배경한 미국의 TV 시리즈 로이 로저스 쇼의 주연 배우이자 웨스턴 가수인 [[http://terms.naver.com/entry.nhn?docId=968348&cid=42609&categoryId=42609|로이 로저스]]를 헌정하는 내용을 담았다. 곡에서 말하는 트리거(Trigger)는 당시 로이 로저스가 영화에 출연하면서 같이 데리고 다니던 말의 이름이다. 버니 토핀과 엘튼 존의 유년 시절 우상 중 한 명이었고, 한창 미국 문화에 푹 빠져있던 버니 토핀에게 나름대로 큰 영향을 끼쳤던 첫 우상이었다고 한다.
== 여담 ==
이 곡의 삽화는 총 2개다. 하나는 위 영상 섬네일에서 보이듯이 디자이너 데이비드 스컷이 그린 리볼버 권총이고, 다른 하나는 마이클 로스가 그린 로이 로저스가 자신의 말 트리거에 타면서 올가미를 잡고 텔레비전 화면에 서있는 그림. 무슨 이유인지 몰라도 마이클 로스의 삽화 대신에 데이비드 스컷의 권총 삽화가 수록되었고, 마이클 로스의 삽화는 40년이 지난 2014년에 뒤늦게 공개되었다.

라이브에선 가끔씩 불렀다. 1977년 5월 1~7일 영국 런던의 ''Rainbow'' 극장에서 진행한 투어에서 처음으로 불렀고, 이후 1977년 11월 3일 웸블리 아레나, 1979년 [[A Single Man]], 1998년 [[The Big Picture]] 투어, 2001년 [[Songs From The West Coast]] 투어, 2007년 [[The Captain & The Kid]] 투어, 2014년 <Follow The Yellow Brick Road> 투어에서 불렀다. 공연에선 곡을 부르기 전에 항상 본인의 우상 중 한 명에 대한 곡이라고 설명했다.

그리고 [[Social Disease]]와 메들리 형식으로 부른 적은 없다.
