[[오아시스(밴드)|오아시스]]의 2집 [[(What's the story) Morning Glory?]]에서 8번째 트랙을 맡고있는 곡. 해당 앨범에서는 최초로 싱글컷된 곡으로 이 곡을 통해 오아시스는 처음으로 차트 1위를 경험해본다.

== 여담 ==
* 2016년 현재까지 싱글로만 46만장 가까이 팔아서 골드 인증을 받았다.
* Lock the Box에서 노엘은 이 곡이 자신들에게는 [[비틀스]]의 [[We Can Work It Out]]과 같은 곡이라면서, '오아시스를 정의하는 곡(defines what Oasis is)'이라고 했다. ~~그러고는 그 직후에 Acquiesce야 말로 진짜로 자기를 정의하는 곡이라고 말을 번복해서 인터뷰하던 제작진을 당황시켰다.~~[* 이는 인터뷰의 전후맥락과 실제 베스트 앨범에 포함된 곡들을 생각하면 단순한 말실수라기보다는, Morning Glory와는 별개로 Some Might Say 싱글 자체가 한 앨범으로서도 가치가 크다는 노엘의 생각이 드러나는 과정에서 표현이 꼬인 것일 가능성이 높다. 이 싱글의 비사이드들은 하나도 빠짐없이 The Masterplan 앨범에 포함되었으며, Acquiesce는 미국에서 라디오 싱글로 발매되어 24위까지 오르기도 했다. 정작 노엘이 비사이드임을 신경쓰지 말았어야 했다고 항상 후회했던 The Masterplan도 이런 대접은 받지 못했다. The Best Of에도 세 곡이나 포함된 것을 생각하면, 오아시스 역사상 싱글 중에서는 Some Might Say가 곡 하나하나와는 별개로 노엘이 가장 선호하는 앨범이라 봐도 무방한 것이다.]

* 데모 버전. [[노엘 갤러거|노엘]]은 데모 버전을 앨범 버전보다 더 좋아한다. '데모버전이 더 [[브릿팝]]스럽다'는 것이 이유. 이 데모 버전은 일본에서 발매된 앨범에는 보너스 트랙으로 실려있다.
* 오아시스의 첫 드러머였던 토니 맥캐롤은 이 곡을 끝으로 노엘과 갈등이 격해져서 결국 해고된다.[* 이후로는 앨런 화이트가 드러머를 담당한다.] 그래도 이 곡을 연주한 덕에 토니 맥캐롤도 2집에 이름이 올라가기는 했다.
* [[크리에이션 레코드]] 사장 앨런 맥기는 이 곡 말고 Acquiesce를 A-Side에 올릴 것을 주장했지만 노엘이 쿨하게 씹었다.(...) 이후 이 Some Might Say 싱글의 B-side였던 Acquiesce, Talk Tonight, Headshrinker는 모두 B-Side 모음집인 [[The Masterplan]]에 수록된다.
* 싱글 [[앨범 커버]]는 잉글랜드 [[더비셔]]에서 촬영했다. 한 가운데서 생선을 수레에 담아 나르고 있는 사람은 아트워크 디자이너였던 브라이언 캐논[* 덧붙여서 이 사람은 그 유명한 MG의 앨범 커버도 찍었다.]의 아버지. 앨범 커버를 자세히 들여다보면, 가사 후렴구의 내용을 절묘하게 표현하고 있다. 역에서 사람들이 기다리고 있고(standing at the station) 외바퀴 손수레는 생선으로 가득 차 있으며(The sink is full of fishes), 옆의 개는 생선을 바라보고 있다(my dog's been itchin'). 노숙자처럼 보이는 사람이 'Education Please'라고 쓴 종이를 가지고 있다(In need of education). 노엘 갤러거는 다리 밑에서 물을 붓고 있으며(in the rain), 그 옆의 여자 위에서는 은식기들이 보인다(She's got dirty dishes on the brain).
