[[zlib]]에 사용하는 [[오픈 소스 라이선스]]중의 하나.

대표적인 오픈 소스 라이선스이며, 비교적 짧고 그만큼 제한도 거의 없는 라이선스 이다. 사용에 제한이 거의 없기 때문에 [[GPL]]과 같은 라이선스를 싫어하는 사람들이 선호하는 라이선스이다.
