1976년에 발매된 퀸의 정규 다섯 번째 앨범인 "A Day at the Races"의 여덟 번째 수록곡이다. 프레디 머큐리가 작사 / 작곡한 노래. 딱 들어도 프레디가 아니면 만들 수 없는 아름다운 노래로 자신의 학창 시절을 생각하면서 만든 노래일 가능성이 높다.
사랑에 빠진 젊은이가 자신을 "Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy"라 소개하며 사랑을 펼치는 내용의 가사이다. 그런데 해석하기에 따라 사랑스러운 가사가 될 수도 있지만 이런 가사가 나올 수도 있다.
...사실 그냥 자연스럽게 듣고있으면, 주인공과 주인공에게 말을 거는 배경사람들의 대사가 섞인 노래라는것을 알 수있다. 주인공이 노래부르는중에 엑스트라들이 한두번씩 끼어드는 뮤지컬 장면을 연상하면 알기 쉬울것이다. 물론 프레디 머큐리가 양성애자라는 것 때문에 일부러 그런쪽으로 해석하려는 사람들이 적지 않으며, 이런 현상은 퀸의 다른 몇몇 노래에서도 마찬가지로 볼 수 있다.
