1963년 발표된 비틀즈의 싱글. 빌보드 차트 1위에 7주(!!) 동안이나 있었다. 당시 정규앨범에는 수록되지 않았고, 컴필레이션 앨범인 Past Masters에 수록되었다. 롤링 스톤 선정 500대 명곡에서 16위에 랭크되었다. 1964년에 에드 설리번 쇼에서 이 곡을 연주하는 장면이 미국 방송으로 전파를 탄 뒤 영국의 록 밴드들이 속속 미국 음반 시장을 점령하는 사태가 벌어지게 되었다.
영국에서는 B면으로 This Boy가 실렸고, 미국에서는 I Saw Her Standing There가 실렸다.
