영국 정부는 영국 본토와 해외영토를 관할하는 영국의 중앙정부이다. 수장은 총리이며, 총리와 내각으로 구성되어 있다.

1 구성

영국 정부는 2016년 5월 현재 총리 1인과 내각에 속하는 장관 21인, 기타 장관 96인 등으로 구성되어 있다.
중앙부처는 크게 장관급 부처와 비장관급 부처로 나뉜다. 조금 복잡한 구조를 갖추고 있는데 장관급 부처들의 장관(보통 Secretary of state for 부서명으로 불린다. 이하 Secretary라고 한다.)은 보통 내각에 소속되어 있고, Minister라는 장관이 밑에 있다. 한 마디로 말하자면 한 부서에 한국어로 장관이라고 번역되는 자들[1]이 여럿 있는 것이다. 비 장관급 부처의 장은 내각에 소속되지 않으며, 고위공무원이 맡는다.
