케이티 페리 3집 PRISM의 다섯번째 싱글컷.

2 상세

이전에 프로모 싱글로 공개된 "Dark Horse"가 정식 싱글로 다시 릴리즈 되었기때문에 다들 "Birthday" 다음 싱글은 "Walking On Air"일것이라고 예상하였으나 실제론 다들 예상치 못했던 이 곡이 싱글이 되었다.

어째서인지 뮤직비디오가 싱글보다 먼저 공개되었다. 이후엔 래퍼 Riff Raff가 피쳐링한 리믹스 버전도 발매한다.

프리즘 앨범 투어 준비에 매진하느라 프로모션이 너무 적어서 피크 24위를 찍고 내려왔다. 보통 미국에서 한 앨범에서 500만장 이상 팔린 싱글이 있으면 초대박으로 치는데, 프리즘 앨범에서 이미 Roar와 Dark Horse의 두곡이나 각각 500만장 이상씩 팔리는 엄청난 성공을 거두었기 때문에 이에 만족한 건지 이 곡에는 큰 신경을 쓰지 않는 느낌이 있었다.

그럼에도 불구하고 팝아트를 연상시키는 감각적인 뮤직비디오 조회수는 무려 5억이 넘어서, 홍보를 조금만 더 적극적으로 했어도 상당한 성적을 거두었을 가능성이 높아 팬들은 아쉬워한다.

4 뮤직비디오

이번 뮤직비디오에서는 케이티의 여러가지 모습을 볼 수 있는데 그림부터 시작해서 레게머리까지 정말 다양하다.

그리고 뮤비에 출연하는 남자 댄서들을 재활용하다 못해 웃통까지 벗겨서 재활용한다

뮤비 중간에 머라이어 캐리, 아레사 프랭클린과 그녀의 대표곡 Respect라는 문구가 이스터 에그로 나온다.
