2014년 7월에 있었던 아스트랄한 킥스타터 사건사고(?). 원래는 7월 3일 올라온 '감자 샐러드 만들게 10달러만 주세요' 라는 평범한 구걸글이었으나 이유를 알 수 없는 컬트적인 인기를 얻어 7월 10일 기준으로 약 7만달러(...)나 모금된 상태.
2 아스트랄한 내용의 목표와 후원자 보상
의외로 킥스타터답게 모금액과 목표도 명확하게 쓰여있는데, 목표는 다음과 같다.

이런 쓸데없이 고퀄인 킥스타터의 장인정신에 감탄했는지 결국 목표금액 10달러를 초과해서 70000달러가 넘게 모였다. 후원자도 5000명에 근접할 정도.
3 후일담
결국 감자샐러드 콘서트를 열고야 말았다.(...) 총 55000달러를 받아 이로 콘서트를 열고 여기서 나오는 수익금으로 노숙자들을 돕는 데 기부하기까지. 전세계의 감자를 사랑하는 척 하며 기부한 수많은 사람들이 그 결실을 맺게 되었다.
