1 개요
미국 드라마 프렌즈의 시즌 별 에피소드 정보를 수록한 문서. 1열의 번호는 시리즈 전체에서의 일련번호이며, 2열의 번호는 시즌 안에서의 일련번호이다. 각 시즌 테이블 별 고유 색상은 영어 위키백과를 참조하여 DVD출시 시의 박스셋 고유 색상으로 설정하였다.
NBC의 시트콤 프렌즈는 1994년 9월 22일 "The Pilot"을 시작으로 첫 방영을 시작하여 2004년 5월 6일 마지막 에피소드인 "The Last One"이 방영되며 막을 내렸다. 총 시즌은 10 시즌, 총 에피소드 수는 236개이며 에피소드 한 회당 평균 러닝 타임은 약 20분에서 25분 사이이다. 단 시즌 9 6화인 "The One with the Male Nanny"는 200회 특집으로 31분 정도로 편성하여 방영하였으며, 각 시즌 별로 2회분 (50분 정도)의 러닝 타임으로 편성된 에피소드가 하나씩 있다. 시즌 1에서는 중간에 넣어 놓았고 시즌 2에서는 슈퍼볼 직후 특집 방송이 2회분으로 편성되었으며, 3에는 없고 시즌 4부터 10까지는 피날레 에피소드가 2회분으로 방영되었다.
특색이라고 한다면 시즌 1 첫 화를 제외한 모든 에피소드의 제목이 "The One with..." 또는 "The One Where..." 등으로 시작한다는 것이다. 또한 각 에피소드 별로 약 3가지의 이야기가 동시에 진행된다. 이전까지의 미국 시트콤이 2개의 플롯으로 진행되는 형식이 대세였다는 것을 생각해 볼 때 신선한 변화. 또한 매 시즌마다 크리스마스 및 추수감사절, 결혼과 출산 관련 에피소드는 꼭 하나씩 들어간다는 것이 특징이라고 할 수 있다. 236개의 에피소드 중 전체 이야기의 흐름과는 다른 시간대를 보여 주는 에피소드는 2개인데, 시즌 3 6화인 "The One with the Flashback"은 시즌 1이 시작하기 1년 전인 1993년[1]을 무대로 한 일종의 프리퀄 격의 에피소드이며, 시즌 6 "The One That Could Have Been"은 주인공 6인방이 각자의 인생의 기로에서 다른 길을 선택하였다면 어떻게 되었을지에 대해 다루는 평행세계 격의 에피소드이다.
또한 아래 에피소드 목록을 보면 알겠지만, 일반적으로 1주일에 한 편을 방영했지만 사실 정확하게 1주일 간격으로 방영되지는 않았다. 2주일, 길게는 4주 가량 텀을 둔 경우도 있는 등 방영 일정이 그렇게 규칙적이지는 않았던 듯.
