도른 사람의 아내를 건드렸다가 칼침을 맞지만 만족하며 죽어가는 한 남자의 이야기다.

입술 따습긴 봄날같았죠.
But the Dornishman's blade was made of black steel,
하지만 도른인 칼은 꺼먼 무쇠칼,
and its kiss was a terrible thing.

도른인 마누라는 목욕 때 노래했죠,
in a voice that was sweet as a peach.
목청 좋기가 복숭아같았죠.
But the Dornishman's blade had a song of its own,
허나 도른인 칼도 제 나름 노래했고,
and a bite sharp and cold as a leech.
